Clubhouse Launches a ‘Universal Search’ Feature
Clubhouse has finally launched a Universal Search feature that will let you search for anything already on the app—such as other users, live Rooms, Clubs, and even upcoming Events.
Universal Search is available on both iOS and Android devices. The feature has been long overdue, considering Clubhouse is one of a few apps that didn’t have a dedicated search feature for browsing the app.
For this reason, Universal Search makes life easier, saving you time when searching for something or someone on the app, also making it more user friendly.
Clubhouse made the announcement in a blog post on its website, stating the following:
Universal search will appear at the top of the app’s Explore tab for now, but depending on the feedback users give the company, it may be moved to the Hallway in the future.
How to Use the Clubhouse Universal Search Feature to Find Anything on the App
The Clubhouse app is pretty straightforward to use, and so is the new Universal Search feature.
Follow the steps below to start searching for whatever it is you may be looking for on the app:
Launch the Clubhouse app on your phone. In the Hallway tab, tap the magnifying glass icon in the top-left corner of the screen. In the search space under Explore, type the name of the person, club or topic you are looking for. Clubhouse will show you a list of possible matches to your search. Simply scroll through the list to find what you are looking for. If looking for a club, tap the Clubs tab in the top-right hand side of the screen and then scroll through the results yielded.
Is Clubhouse Becoming Like Other Social Media Apps?
Clubhouse started off as a niche social media app, quite different from the apps we’re used to. While it maintained its uniqueness for some time, the app is now starting to change, adding features that make it seem increasingly similar to the more popular apps out there.
